About our Kaiapa Paʻa Iki (Newborn All-in-One Diaper)

Prior to using the diaper, adjust the rise snaps on the lower front panel of the diaper. For a smaller fit and to ensure a proper fit around baby's legs, secure the rise snaps on a lower setting. The diaper should sit right above baby's bum in the back and about an inch below baby's piko (belly button) in the front.

Secure the piko (belly button) protector snap in the front for babies that still have their umbilical cord stump attached.Secure the diaper around baby's waist by fastening the waist snaps. The diaper should fit snugly, but comfortably on your baby. You should be able to place two fingers between the top of the diaper and baby's tummy.

Before Use
Wash and dry all diapers at least once before use. This will help wash away natural oils that minimize absorption.

Before Washing Soiled Diapers
Remove/shake solids into the toilet at each diaper change.
Place soiled diapers/cloth wipes into dry pail or wet bag until laundry day. Do not soak diapers.

For Every Wash Cycle
Pre-wash: Warm wash, shortest cycle, with minimal or no detergent. This will help lift stains and rinse away residual waste.
Main wash: Hot wash, heavy cycle, with detergent and extra rinse.
Dry: Tumble dry on low or hang dry.

Wash around 16-22 one size diapers (plus inserts, wipes, pail liner and wet bags) in each load.

Wash diapers every 2 to 3 days after use.

Do NOT use fabric softener, bleach or dryer sheets.

Only use cloth diaper-safe creams on your baby.

Air drying in direct sunlight is the best way to dry and disinfect diapers and inserts and also get rid of stains! However, do not leave them in direct sunlight for longer than necessary; the powerful UV rays and high temperatures may damage diapering products.

About This Print

Nā Manō

This print was inspired by the ʻōlelo noʻeau (Hawaiian proverb), “Pua ka wiliwili, nanahu ka manō; when the wiliwili tree blooms, the shark bites.” Native Hawaiians possess a detailed understanding of our environment and are keen to observe the timing and connection between different natural phenomena. Each year, in late summer and early fall, the blooming of the orange wiliwili flowers also signals the peak pupping season of Hawaiʻi’s tiger sharks.

Fits great

The most important thing for diapers is that you get a good seal to keep all the poop in, and I love how great these fit the baby! On top of that the prints are super cute and so vibrant.
