About This Print
Ke Ala o ka Mahina Polū
The traditional Hawaiian calendar is based upon the phases of the moon, each with its own name and associated activities. The phases featured in this design include Hoaka, Kū Lua, ʻOle Kū Kolu, Hōkū, ʻOle Kū Lua, Kāloa Pau, and Lono. Hawaiians believe that certain activities are appropriate when the moon is in a certain phase. If you look closely, the moon phases here showcase the preferred time to plant and grow kalo (taro) and hala (pandanus), gather wana (sea urchins), and signal when the tide is low and seas are calm.

Customer Reviews
I bought half dozen as makana for my haumana because I love my own bag. The snap is top notch and stays put even when I put heavy wet items in it. I use it for a swim suit and a thin towel, the quick dry ones. I have other bags as well. Did I mention they are beautiful?
These small wet bags are the perfect size. We have 2: one for my son’s daycare and one I carry with me in my diaper bag. It’s able to fit multiple baby outfits and shoes even though it’s the small size.
We love it and use it every day.
Aloha. I have given the ʻekeʻeke pulu and a matching ʻeke holo as gifts to many people. They are not only beautiful as a cloth diaper carrier but for many other uses. Love the prints.
I love it!! I used it for my toiletries while traveling. One of my bottles open while in my luggage. I thought oh crap now all my clothes are wet. No clothes was wet!!
