Fukubukuro is a long-standing, beloved Japanese New Year's Day tradition!  Often translated to "Lucky Bag" or "Fortune Bag," Fukubukuro refers to a special mystery bag which features products at 50% off (or more) of retail prices.  Although a Japanese tradition, it is practiced (like many other cultures), here in our home, Hawaiʻi.
