Versatile, does the job very well, and cute to boot :)

Love this type of diaper since it can be used as a regular or swim diaper. We also haven't had any blow outs which is a plus (knock on wood).

My husband and I started cloth diapering with Kaleimamo and another brand. So glad we stuck with this brand because not only do they work well and are versatile, but the prints they use reflect our home so much :). I always end up buying a diaper (or two) when they come out with a new collab print. Loving my stash on my lil one. Mahalo, mahalo to this wonderful small, local business for making a cloth diaper brand which locals and natives can resonate with.

WE LOVE THE KAIAPA PAKEKE

We have been using the kaiapa pakeke since our newborn grew out of the kaiapa pa'a iki. We absolutely love it! The materials makes it super easy to clean off any poop. We have also noticed that this material is better on baby's skin during the summer as other materials cause baby to get heat rash. The design of the pocket also allows for an easy wash; you can dump these kaiapa straight in the washer and the liners fall out of the pocket naturally!

This pocket diaper system consists of an outer water resistant shell and absorbent inserts. It offers a "do-everything" design that is perfect for day and nighttime use, and can even be used as a swim diaper! This adjustable diaper will fit most babies from birth until potty training, and is a great choice for first-time cloth diaper users and veterans alike. You'll love this diaper's versatility, comfort, and style. Simply place the inserts into the "pocket" of the diaper, put it on baby, and go!

  • Fits babies from approximately 8 to 35 lbs (4 to 16 kgs).
  • 3 x 4 rise snaps and waist snaps for adjustable sizing.
  • Inner athletic wicking jersey keeps baby cool and comfortable and offers quick, easy cleaning.
  • Includes two inserts, each consisting of 4 layers of natural fiber absorbency (55% bamboo - 45% cotton). Customize absorbency for your keiki by using more or less inserts. While the two included inserts are typically sufficient for daytime use, additional inserts or a thicker booster offer a fantastic overnight diaper solution. Purchase additional inserts or boosters separately.
  • Remove all inserts for use as a swim diaper.
  • Water resistant PUL shell keeps baby's clothes and everything else dry.
  • Wide back elastic to keep all the messes in.
  • PUL tummy panel for extra leak protection (especially for those tummy sleepers!).
  • Leg elastics provide gentle and effective leak protection.
  • Durable, long-lasting snap closure.
  • Prints inspired by our indigenous Hawaiian culture, language, and stories.

      Sizing and Use

Fits babies from approximately 8 to 35 lbs (4 to 16 kgs). Designed to grow with your baby from birth until potty training. Features 3 x 4 rise snaps and waist snaps.

How to Use a One Size Diaper

    • Prior to using the diaper, adjust the rise snaps on the lower front panel of the diaper. For a smaller fit and to ensure a proper fit around baby's legs, secure the rise snaps on a lower setting. The diaper should sit right above baby's bum in the back and about an inch below baby's piko (belly button) in the front.
    • Secure the diaper around baby's waist by fastening the waist snaps. The diaper should fit snugly, but comfortably on your baby. You should be able to place two fingers between the top of the diaper and baby's tummy.
    • Content

    • Outer shell - 100% Polyester (Waterproof PUL laminate)
    • Inner lining - Athletic Wicking Jersey
    • Inserts (2x) - 4 layers of 55% bamboo - 45% cotton
    • Care

      Before Use

    • Wash and dry all diapers at least once before use. This will help wash away natural oils that minimize absorption.

    • Before Washing Soiled Diapers

    • Remove/shake solids into the toilet at each diaper change.
    • Place soiled diapers/cloth wipes into dry pail or wet bag until laundry day. Do not soak diapers.

    • For Every Wash Cycle

    • Pre-wash: Warm wash, shortest cycle, with minimal or no detergent. This will help lifts stains and rinse away residual waste.
    • Main wash: Hot wash, heavy cycle, with detergent and extra rinse.
    • Dry: Tumble dry on low or hang dry.

    • Important Tips!

    • Wash around 12-18 one size diapers (plus inserts, wipes, pail liner and wet bags) in each load.
    • Wash diapers every 2 to 3 days after use.
    • Do NOT use fabric softener, bleach or dryer sheets.
    • Only use cloth diaper-safe creams on your baby.
    • Air drying in direct sunlight is the best way to dry and disinfect diapers and inserts and also get rid of stains! However, do not leave them in direct sunlight for longer than necessary; the powerful UV rays and high temperatures may damage diapering products.
