About This Print

Laeʻula

From Sig Zane: “The ʻōhai grows along the coasts, enjoying the ocean mist. There at Ka Lae, South Point, I studied the blossoms knowing they redden during the full moon. The plant crawls on the ground, keeping cool hidden in the grasses, absorbing moisture at night. The name, ‘The Red Point,’ conveys an image at full moon, as the flowers carpet the area.”
